Chapter 19
Days passed and Jericho received a call from his new trusted scientist Ben. He told him that finally he had once again contacted an alien from outer space through his highly advanced inventions. So Jericho, together with his wife Gina, hurried from their hideout towards their secret laboratory inside a big cave outside the city.
When they reached it, Ben and the other scientist immediately took him to their communication room.
Jericho stood in front of a wide monitor in front of him as Ben and other scientist started to communicate with the alien they said they had contacted from the machine that had the capacity to communicate to aliens at outer space. The wide screen monitor blinked, and suddenly, two alien life forms appeared on screen. Jericho looked up.
“Greetings Earthlings,” greeted the military General of the Gorans through their space laboratory. “I’m Drex, and I’m a military General of the planet Gora,” he introduced himself to Jericho and to his scientists.
“Greetings General, I’m Jericho from the planet Earth,” he greeted back and introduced himself to the alien on the monitor.
“My Vice General reported to me, that one of you had been trying to contact us,” Drex said.
“Yes, I ordered my scientist to communicate to a life form outside our planet,” Jericho replied.
“And may I know why you wanted to communicate with us?” the military General asked Jericho from their new planet.
Jericho went straight and told him what he wanted from them. He told them that he wanted to capture and kill the flying man. He told Drex that they believed that the flying man was an alien and they wanted the help of another alien to capture and kill him for they didn’t have the capacity and the power to kill him themselves. And when Drex saw the video of the flying man that Jericho showed him, he immediately realized that he had found the right Earthling for his plans. He immediately realized that by helping Jericho capture the flying man, he would also capture the son of the king and queen of the planet Lima for him, knowing that the flying man that Jericho showed him and the son of the queen of the planet Lima was one and the same.
“It seems that we want the same flying man,” Drex told Jericho from their new planet inside their space observation room. “But unlike you, we want him alive. We need him to make our enemy surrender to us. That flying man you are talking about and shown to us is indeed not an Earthling like you. He is a Liman from the planet Lima. He is the son of the King and Queen of Lima, our mortal enemy. But don’t you worry as soon as the Limans surrender to us, we will kill him afterwards,” Drex assured Jericho looking at him together with the other Goran military officials.
“This is a good day. I finally found an ally from outer space who could help me deal with this flying man that had been destroying my robots,” he told Drex from his own laboratory and observation room.
“And that’s where we can help you. Our robotics is by far more advanced than that of Earthlings’. We will send you diagrams that could help you create powerful robots that could easily defeat this flying man. And we will teach you the right metals to choose and the right metal compounds to use so you could immediately start its construction. And my scientists will directly supervise your scientists from here, in our new planet,” Drex assured Lex looking at him at his big screen monitor.
“Thank you,” Jericho firmly stated to the Goran General. The two then bid good bye to each other and both happy and satisfied of their alliance.
The Goran General then immediately ordered his scientists to send a copy of their diagrams to Jericho’s scientists who immediately received it from their own laboratory and space observatory facility.
In his hideout, Jericho together with his wife Gina waited while his scientists started constructing the robots under the supervision of the Goran scientists. Day and night scientists worked on metals and metal compounds to construct robots that they believed would easily defeat the flying man. They strictly followed the instructions relayed by the Gorans to ensure that they come up with an extremely powerful robot.
Chapter 20
A month passed, Aaron and Danna were walking hand in hand going out of a fine restaurant where they had lunch together.
“Next time we’ll take mom, Erica, and grandpa with us here so they too could taste the delicious dishes that this restaurant is serving, I’m sure they’ll love it too just like we both did,” Danna told Aaron looking up at him beside her as they continued heading towards the main door of the restaurant.
“We will Danna,” Aaron just said and smiled at her. He then pulled the door and opened it. The two then got through but as soon as they stepped on the sidewalk outside the restaurant, people started screaming and running away in fear.
In the middle of the road was a big robot and it looked fiercer than the first two that Aaron defeated. Suddenly it started lifting the cars that was abandoned by the motorists in fear of him blocking their way. The robot threw a car to the sidewalk, it smoked and burned. He then lifted another and threw it towards a building. It smoked and burned and so did the building it hit. The shouts and screams of the city dwellers became louder and louder fleeing from the powerful robot that was wrecking havoc right in the middle of the road.
The city dwellers immediately saw the flying man up in the air from where they were hiding. They saw him flew down nearer towards the robot in amok. The silver robot that had two strong powerful arms and legs immediately saw the flying man going near him from the air. His foot suddenly released smoke from below; it started levitating and slowly flew upwards going towards the direction of the flying man in the air.
A little far from each other up in the air, the flying man and the silver robot with red goggles covering his eyes stared at each other. Aaron surveyed the new robot feeling that it was more powerful and more dangerous than the first two that he fought and defeated. The silver robot tilted and flew horizontally and rapidly towards the flying man aiming at his body. The flying man swiftly flew upwards avoiding its first attack, it passed below his foot but as soon as Aaron tried to turn around to face it behind him it was already rapidly going back to attack him. The flying man was hit hard on his stomach. He was thrown away from where he was flying. He grimaced in pain looking at the robot that stood up in the air and looked at him. It was mocking him. Rapidly it flew towards him once again, heading to his body once again. He flew to his side and avoided it. And once again it went back to him rapidly. Learning from the first attack, Aaron avoided it tilting himself horizontally and when it passed right above his body, he punched it as hard as he could. The robot was thrown upward away from him but immediately still horizontally it bounced back towards Aaron and punched him in the chest, Aaron was thrown rapidly going to the road, but before he hit the ground he flew upwards once again and flew rapidly going back to his opponent.
Face to face, they stood in the air staring at each other. The robot was mocking him for being thrown towards the ground in a single punch. Rapidly, Aaron flew towards the robot and when he was near it, he rotated and gave him a roundabout kick. He hit him on target on its jaw it was thrown backwards but immediately went back and retaliated, it flew horizontally and strongly towards him. Aaron saw it and kneed it. The robot was thrown backwards once again. It looked more furious feeling the impact of Aaron’s knee on its head. It stood up once again and stared at Aaron up in the air above the skyscrapers in the middle of the city. The robot, standing, rapidly flew towards Aaron and when it neared him it turned around giving Aaron a roundabout kick, but Aaron docked down and kicked it back on its jaw hitting it. Aaron chased after it as it was thrown away from him from his kick and when he was near it in the air; he gave it another kick hitting it extremely hard in the face, breaking its neck. The silver robot went rapidly tumbling down towards the road. It hit the road hard smoked and burned.
The city dwellers immediately came out of their hiding places and rejoiced. They looked up at the flying man above him all cheering and applauding him for his victory over the silver robot and once again saving their city.
From inside the cave, Jericho and his scientists nodded smiling looking at the flying man being cheered and applauded by the city dwellers. The silver robot that they sent was merely a test robot. They wanted to see if, if it could hit and hurt the flying man. And realizing that they could hit and hurt him in his chest and abdomen, they decided to lay low and prepare their next robot that they believed would finally finish the flying man.
Aaron drove his car back to Leonardo’s house. Danna was a little quiet beside him in the front seat. Aaron noticed, so he reached for her beside him and pulled her closer towards him as he continued driving his car on the road.
“You were hurt up there, Aaron,” Danna finally uttered glancing at him worrying about him.
“Yeah, I got hurt. But I wasn’t really injured,” he said pulled up his shirt and showed up his abs. “See no damage,” he said and teased her smiling at her trying to comfort her.
“You really,” Dana just said giggling and looking at his unscratched undamaged muscular abs. She quieted immediately and spoke once again. “But be more careful next time Aaron…”
“I will Danna,” Aaron assured her and kissed her gently on her hair.
